Eyebrow Piercings

Angled to sit flush and resist migration — vertical, horizontal and anti-eyebrow placements.

Eyebrow piercings are surface piercings, which means the body is actively trying to push them out from day one. That doesn't make them a bad idea — it makes placement and jewelry choice the entire ballgame. Pierced at the correct depth and angle with a properly sized curved barbell, they settle in nicely and last for years.

Depth and angle beat everything

Too shallow and it migrates out within months. Too deep and it sits under tension and stays irritated. The entry and exit also need to align with how your brow moves, since the tissue there works constantly. We mark it, check it while you make a few expressions, and adjust before piercing.

Migration is a real possibility

We'll be straight with you: eyebrow piercings have a higher rejection rate than ear or nostril piercings because they're surface work. Signs to watch for are the jewelry sitting closer to the surface over time, the skin between the holes thinning, or increasing redness after the initial healing period. Come in the moment you notice any of it — caught early, we can often save the piercing by removing it and re-piercing later, which is far better than letting it push through and scar.

Placement options

Vertical eyebrow is the classic, usually placed at the outer third to avoid the supraorbital nerve. Horizontal eyebrow runs parallel to the brow and reads quite differently. Anti-eyebrow sits on the upper cheekbone below the eye and is technically a surface piercing anchored with a surface bar. Each has a different risk profile and we'll walk you through them.

Questions

Eyebrow Piercings — what people ask.

Will an eyebrow piercing reject?

Some do — it's surface work, and the body treats surface piercings as something to expel. Correct depth, correct angle and implant-grade titanium dramatically improve the odds, and plenty last for years. If you spot the jewelry creeping toward the surface, come in immediately rather than waiting.

Does an eyebrow piercing leave a scar?

If it's removed cleanly before any migration, you'll usually be left with two small marks that fade considerably. If it's allowed to reject fully, the scarring is more noticeable — which is exactly why we want to see it at the first sign of trouble.
