Nipple piercings are done in a private room, with a clear explanation of every step before it happens, and you can bring someone with you. They're a straightforward piercing technically — the practical considerations are healing time, jewelry choice and being realistic about how much clothing friction is involved in your daily life.

How the appointment works

Private room, door closed, and nothing happens without you being told what's coming. We mark both sides and check symmetry with you in a mirror before piercing — nipples are rarely identical, so the marks are placed to look even rather than measured to be even. You can stop at any point, and you can bring a friend or partner in with you.

Straight barbells, not rings

Initial jewelry is a straight barbell, fitted with room for swelling. Rings move constantly and drag through a fresh channel, which is a reliable way to end up with a piercing that never settles. Once fully healed — usually six to twelve months — we'll fit you into rings if that's the look you want.

Healing realistically

Six to twelve months, and they're sensitive for a good chunk of that. A tight, soft cotton top or a sports bra provides protection from friction and is genuinely worth wearing at night. Skip swimming for the first couple of months. If you're planning to breastfeed in future, note that piercings should be removed for nursing; healed piercings generally don't prevent breastfeeding but the jewelry has to come out.

Nipple Piercings — what people ask.

Can I still breastfeed after a nipple piercing?

Generally yes, once the piercing is fully healed — but the jewelry must be removed for nursing, both to prevent a choking hazard and to avoid interfering with feeding. Some people find milk flows from the piercing channels as well as normally. Talk to your doctor or a lactation consultant if it's a concern.

Do both have to be pierced at once?

No. Plenty of people do one, and plenty do both together. Doing both at once means one healing period instead of two, but also more overall soreness for the first week. It's entirely your call.
